B&T  Steel is a level (6) (60%) BBBEE contributor that has always held the importance of transformation and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment in high regard and continues to make this a key focus area within the company.
 
A BBBEE committee has been established to tackle elements such as Skills Development, Employment Equity and Management, Enterprise Development, and Socio- Economic Development.

During July we won the award for ‘Best in Construction’ award which is the award for companies with the best SHEQ in place in the construction industry.

NOSA – Northern region – Best Environmental Safety Programme.

We also won the award for Best Environmental Safety Programme, which awards companies who have no major environmental accidents and achieve the highest effort score for environment on the integrated system.
